"Happy Halloween Allie!" I say to my best friend Allie. She was the first person to get to my Halloween Party. She was looking very hipper that night.

"I'm good thanks. My costume is in this bag!" Allie said. We walked in to the living room to play UNO.

"Nothing, just playing UNO," I said. By now Allie was over at the table eating candy corn.
"Allie what are you doing?" I asked

"Have some of the pumpkin ones too!" I said. We all stared laughing our heads off. The door bell rang and i walked over to the door still laughing but trying to settle down if it was a little kid trick or treating.
"Oh hi Malo....... come on in," i said still laughing.
"Why are you laughing? Do i look weird?" Marlo Asked.
"No.... its a long story. Allie and Sydney are in here," i said.
" Kate look at this," Allie said looking at the TV. there was a show on about The Pebody Hotel.That place is haunted. A lady named Elizabeth Keth died there in 1885. Her soul is supposedly still in the hotel haunting it.
“ that is so cool! So cool,” Allie said. She loves stuff like that and so do I. Marlo gets scared from it. Sydney likes it too. My mom comes in to the room to see what we are watching.
“What are you guys watching?”
“ Oh this show on The Pebody Hotel. It is really cool.”
“Okay then Kate. I ordered the pizza!”
“Thanks Mrs. Cashman,” Allie said.
“No problem girls,” my mom says
“ALL I WANT TO DO IS (DOOM CHICK) TAKE YOUR MONEY.. ALL I WANT TO DO..”
“Hello!?” I answer my phone
“Hi Kate this is coach Blake. Tomorrow practice will be cancled because of my wifes sugery and your dads on a trip,” my coach said sounding sad.
“oh ok coach and I will tell Allie, Sydney, and Marlo,” I said

“Hope your wife gets better coach,” I said
“Thanks and run on the treadmil for 20 minutes,” he said

“Bye!” I put my phone down and told the girls the stuff.
“No practice tomorrow due to surgery of coach Blake's wife and my dad being gone!” I said
“Yes!!!” they all hollerd. We all love soccer but we don't like to run a mile When we don't win a game. We start to look at shows that are one demand when we here my brother come down the stairs.
“ Girls? NOOOOOOOO! Mom you didn't tell me IT was having friends over. Not cool mom not cool,” he yelld

“ Now Matt settle down Brad is coming over tonight for a sleepover,” my mother said.
“ Oh mom Blake said there will be no practice tomorrow, it's my day off!” I said.

“ Oops, sorry!” matt said sarcasticley. Matt and I are ok of buds. He is so annoying when I have friends over. Well any ways Allie, Marlo, Sydney, and I make our way to the TV room once more.
Chapter 2 Trick-or-Treating
We all decided on What not to Wear.
“ DING DONG DING DONG DING DING DING DING..........” I walk to the door with my slippers collecting static as I walk on the carpet.
“ Hi, Brad! Come on in,” I say closing the door to lock the fall breezes out side.
“ How are you Kate?” Brad asked as he took his shoes off.

“Cool. Matt is up stairs I believe in his room.”

“ Hay, um... Kate? Matt and Brad are taking you trick or treating tonight. Ok?” my mom said from her office.
“ Fine,” I say dragging my feet on the carpet. We all go in to my bed room to get ready for trick or treating.
“ Marlo what are you?” I ask.
“ A Banana!”
“Cool! What are you Allie?”
“ Waldo!”
“ Sweat! And Sydney how about you?”
“ A goth peep! Now Kate what are you?”
“ A ladybug! I cute and lovable lady bug!”
“Yah real lovable ladybug!” my dad said standing in the door way of my room.
“Dad! Why are you home so early?” I asked running over to him.
“ I got the job right away! They said I was very talented and would love to have me as their lower,” my dad said giving me a bear hug.

“Ok dad we are going to get dressed now. So...... bye!” I said pushing him to the door.

“ We were watching this downstairs on the History Channel.” I said edging the TV, “And why are you showing this to....... what! No we will get put in to Juvy. Dude we can't.”
“What are we talking about?” Allie asked plopping on to Matt's couch.
“ Allie we are going to the Pebody Hotel tonight,” I said felling like I was going to vomit, “ But guys we need to tell dad. It is all the way down town and dad loves that stuff.”

“Dad is the only person who can drive and wont yell at us. Also he just got back from a trip and needs some kidding around with us,” I said plopping next to Brad on the flour.
“Yah, Kate has a point about that,” Brad said looking up to Matt. We all desided to tell my dad about our plan after dinner and when mom gets Joe ( my little brother) ready to go trick or treating. After dinner I asked dad to come in to the living room to ask him.
“ Hay, um, dad?” I asked sitting down on the window set.
“ Yah Kat?” dad said putting a piece of wood in to the fire.
“Sydney, Allie, Marlo, Matt, Brad, and I where wondering if you, um, could take us to the Pebody Hotle tonight to look around?” I said twisting the blanket with my finger.
“You guys know that place is haunted. Right?”
“Yah. Why?”
“Well I guess that would be fine.”
“Thanks dad!!!! Thank you so much!”
“Okay now only if you keep your cellphone with you at all times. OK?”
“OK dad! Thank you!!!”
Matt and Brad took us Trick or treating that night. We got LOTS of candy. I got 4 ½ pounds of candy! When we got back to my house my dad told us to get warm cloths on that are dark.
“Ready daddy!” I said as we all plunged down the stairs.

“Yes?” my mom said bringing Joey down the stairs.
“I'm going to take the kids down town to go to the ferms party.”

“Bye mom,” I said opening the cold door.

We all paled in to the Explorer van to go to The Pebody Hotel.
“Well kids we can't lie about all of this so lets go to the ferms party for a little bit,” my dad said as we terned on to Weller rd. We got to his ferm and played some games and ate some candy corn. We thought that we shood walk to the hotle so no body will wonder why we are staying at The Pebody Hotel.
